The ARPA Infill Housing Initiative is a strategic housing development effort led by the Buffalo Erie Niagara Land Improvement Corporation (BENLIC), supported by funding from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). The initiative focuses on the construction of new, energy-efficient single-family homes on vacant lots across the City of Buffalo.
These infill homes are designed to:
- revitalize neighborhoods affected by disinvestment and demolition,
- increase affordable homeownership opportunities, and
- stabilize the housing stock with high-quality, code-compliant construction.
Working in collaboration with the City of Buffalo and community partners, BENLIC aims to bring lasting impact to communities through equitable development, sustainable design, and community-focused planning.
